Love my little SUV

Great little SUV. I was looking for something nice and economical that would fit a 6' 4" son in the back seat. This does it very nicely. I am amazed at how well this little 4 banger performs. The gas mileage is right about at what it is rated for. 22 City and 32 Highway. I get about 26MPG combined. I did read before I purchased it about some folks saying it has some big blind spots. It does, but you get used to it and figure out a way to get around it. I also installed blind spot mirrors on my side mirrors and that really helps. My gas expenditure per month has gone down from 400.00 per month to 230.00 per month. That is awesome!

2010 Equinox Issues

We test drove many mid/small size SUV's before buying the Equinox. In my opinion this was by far the best riding and most comfortable car that we test drove. However we have had nothing but issues. The car had about 56,000 miles on it when we purchased and now has 90,000 over almost three years. During this time we have replaced the throttle position sensor because the car would go into "limp" mode and wouldn't drive over 35mph, the pistons, rings, and lifters were replaced under warranty ( we noticed extreme amount of oil consumption). It is currently at the dealership for issues with the electronic power steering(4 cylinder only) and a strong sulfur smell that I self diagnosed as the catalytic converter. None the less we are still willing to give a new model of the Equinox/Terrain a chance because we love the way it rides and feels. Hopefully this was just a Lemon and nobody else has had the mechanical issues we've had

Disappointing Chevy Equinox

Very disappointed in the quality of the car. Has significant electrical problems and when I brought it to a dealership - they said "Oh yeah - we have seen this alot". Too many buttons on the dashboard and they do not easily signify what they do - and with the electrical problems - they are not doing what they are supposed to do. I do like the color - looks - space - BUT I don't go anywhere without jumper cables - as the battery has already died once within the first 30 days of buyng the car and it only had 12, 026 miles on it. I worry about winter and if it will start on those cold mornings -
