HHR LT 2010

The 2010 HHR LT is a great value. I would challenge anyone to find a car with all the options it offers within a similar price range. I bought the car for business travel and it seems to be ideal. The gas mileage is outstanding and the performance has exceeded my expectations. The major design flaw is the cup holdersWHY did they put them so low? However, I cant find anything else wrong with car. It is functional, fun to drive and has great technology. Overall, it is an exceptional value and I would recommend the car to anyone who desires a bang for their buckwhich is difficult to find these days.

good car, a few weird things

We did not expect to leave the dealership with the HHR, but it seemed a good fit for my family and drove smoothly. My husband is tall, but all torso, and he fit well with enough headroom. The radio and speaker system is good quality with good sound. The trunk is good sized but there is no real place to "hide" things from outside viewers, I also recommend a cargo net or basket as the trunk is so large bags roll around. We have yet to haul anything large but I am sure we could without a problem. We also get good gas mileage, mostly slightly above the manufacturers specs. The issues, My husband is tall and sometimes if we are the first in line at a light, he has to stoop to see the light. He would also like a bit more knee space. The passenger seat does not move up and down which is difficult if he sits in the passenger seat. My complaint is the cup holders..their position is super awkward, especially if we both have large drinks. I know it is a bit petty but it really gets on my nerves. Overall I love my car. I would recommend it for others.

what is gm thinking

this hhr is the most value for the money on the market. i have a 2006 and when i heard gm was discontinuing the line after 2011, i immediately started the search to replace my 2006 saab with another newer hhr. i mostly do highway miles and can set the cruise on 72 and average 30 + mpg. i am 6'2 and have a comfortable ride with easy in and out. the amount of cargo space is what separates this from others in the 30+ mpg class. most of the other options are half the size. GM did put rather cheap looking plastic interior trim in the hhr but that is my only gripe. i have 190,000 on my 06 hhr and look forward to many more miles on both.
