Reviews for 2008 Chevrolet HHR
Love the outside more than the inside
I fell in love with the orange HHR the minute I saw it. The first thing I noticed was it's not as roomy inside as it appears to be from the outside. Performs wonderfully & gets good mileage though. Before we bought it we read lots of reviews, and laughed because just about everyone made a comment on the poor location of the cup holders & how non-user-friendly they were. It just seemed funny that that was so important to people nowadays. We usually don't drink anything in our vehicles so we giggle about that every time we drive it. But ya, if you DO need to use them, it's not a convenient place. Also, not many little storage places to stash things , only one of the seats has the elastic basket thingy on the back of the seat for magazines or supplies. I love the cubby on the dash,- places to stash my stuff is important to me & if it wasn't for the dash cubby, i'd be dissappointed, not alot of other places for stuff. I have a 2002 PT Cruiser also which I am still in love with the looks of, so to sum it up, overall I guess i'd have to say I like the PT better both inside & out for what's important to me (except of course the newness of my HHR):)
2007 Chevy HHR LT
After looking over this car for a while, I finally decided to give it a test drive, and I can honestly say it was love at first sight (err, drive)! The first thing I noticed was how powerful the AC was, and how quickly kicked in. GREAT for those hot summer days. Once driving it off the lot, I continued to fall for it. The steering handled so smoothly compared to my previous car, and it handled the road like it was nothing. I could hardly feel any of the bumps in the road, and the car had a lot of power behind it. The next thing I noticed was the sound system... it was a Pioneer soundsystem with an aux input (for iPods/MP3 players). It sounds AMAZING. And it has all sorts of different settings for improving the sound, not that it needs help. Another awesome thing about the HHR is its storage. You can lay the back seats down to create a TON of room in the rear of the car. Perfect for moving, or even vacations. There's just so much more to say about it, but not enough time to do so. Just give it a go for yourself!
Love my new HHR!
What a great surprise!! The HHR was not my first choice when I started looking at buying a car. But, I had a friend that had purchased one and she suggested that I might at least take one for a spin...what did I have to lose? Wow...was she right. The interior is a very pleasant surprise. My husband and I are not small people and we have plenty of room in the HHR. Not only that, but there is actually room in the back seat to sit 2 normal or 3 small people comfortably, quite a change from our last vehicle. For those of us that like to sit a little higher, this car fits the bill. Some of the interior features take a little getting used to: this model has the beverage holders in a kind of akward spot and the controls for the windows are on the center console, not on the door. The handling is a little on the sloppy side but certainly nothing that would be of concern. I took it on road trip recently, set the cruise control and enjoyed a great ride as well as 30 mph! It is a little light in the snow but with the addition of some weight in the back end, it manages just fine. All in all, I am very happy with my purchse and would recommend the Chevy HHR to anyone looking for a comfortable ride, good fuel economy and some fun in a new car!!
