2011 HHR LT
Nice car but for space. There is no where for even the smallest trash container except maybe on the floor in the back. Visibility is poor out the front, why they didn't make the windshield taller is anybody's guess. Being tall, there are many stop lights that I have to lean way down to be able to see. While there are two 12 volt sockets, 1 on dash and 1 at back of the center console, neither is switched, meaning if you have a GPS (Don't we all?) you have to unplug it or hit the On/Off switch every time you turn off the car. To me that is a real pain in the ^%$. Its not like it would have cost more to switch the 12 volt outlets off when the car is shut off. I'm thinking the vast majority would prefer to have them turn off. I'd love to understand Chevy's rational for that one. Let me see, in the time I've owned the HHR I've needed to have the 12 volt outlets remain on... NEVER!!
This little car gets great gas mileage and has loads of room to haul stuff.
I am disabled from a stroke and unable to get in most cars without help. the HHR is low enough withplenty of head room and door opens wide enough for me to lift my affected leg into and with a seven inch seatbelt extender I can fasten the belt witout help. As you might say just what the doctor ordered. thankyou Chevrolet and car max for filling my needs.
