2010 Chevrolet HHRHHR Lover - Carol Stream, IL02/09/2011
I really enjoy our HHR. My husband and I bought it as a company car for a painting business. It is really roomy (front and back seats) and the plastic in the way back makes messes really easy to clean up rather than cloth. The speaker system has good clear sound. It drives well in snow, much better than my little car. I really like how it tells the tire pressure in the electronic information view. The GAS MILEAGE is great!!! On average we have been getting 26 - 29 mpg! It is a champ and we will never get rid of it.

After driving a 7 seat suv for 11 years, I was leary of driving a smaller car. The HHR Wagon has turned out to be a good choice for me. It has a smooth ride. The gas milege is approx. 25 miles a gallon. I'm able to use the 85 Ethanol, which is approximately 40 cents less than regular gas. The dashboard and steering wheel components are very satisfying to me. I like the ability to set up to 35 radio stations with the ease of simply switching the pages. This allows me to set up my favorite stations, by theme, per page. I love this! The information setting on the steering wheel is an extra bonus. The hatch back door to the wagon is easy to open. It even has a reversible (carpet/plastic) mat that is easily switched. Last, the look of the wagon is pretty "cool." I made a good choice. (Minor Downsides to this choice: The cup holders are too small. Also, there's only one cup holder for the back seats. In addition, there's a very narrow space between the front cup holder and the handbreak. This makes it somewhat difficult to lower the handbreak if a cup is in the holder.)
I LOVE MY HHR!

I was able to drive a 2010 HHR as a rental for a little over a week (this was about 1 1/2 years before I bought one), so I had plenty of time to test it out before deciding if the HHR was what I wanted. So glad my husband encouraged me to get it when it came time to go car shopping! My HHR is so fun to drive that I sometimes wish my commute to and from work were a little longer! It rides smooth and solid, great sound system, even the steering wheel is solid. Love the controls, the panels, everything about it. I haven't come up with a complaint for this car yet, and as for the complaints I've seen others leave, I haven't noticed any of those things, and neither has my husband. He loves driving it as well. Just a little note: you can find a ton of websites that offer the classic emblems that are from the 1949 Chevrolet Suburban that the HHR was modeled after and make it look extremely unique. Or just leave it the way it is! Either way, it's unique on it's own, and a great car for the price! No complaints here!
Henry Ford once famously told customers that his Model T came in any color they wanted, so long as that color was black. That was over 100 years ago. Today, the vehicles available to us come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, with a profusion of available options and features. Whether you're shopping for a quality used vehicle, or you want to take the plunge with a new car, 2017 is a great time to see what's available.
