Having had two Chevy Impalas, a 2006 and now a 2010 I have enjoyed both. I love the new one but some of what they re-engineered between the two models made the car less desirable instead of more.
The 2006 had the gear shift on the column, the 2010 for some reason has an over-sized one on the floor. Because of this you now have absolutely NO room for beverages. anything bigger than a 12 oz can wont sit next to each other. Perhaps minor but with all the traveling my family does, to have the passenger have to sit and hold their drink so the driver can put their drink in the console is less than desirable. they got it wrong, period.
As you can assume, since that is my biggest beef, overall I am happy with the car, it just boggles the mind sometimes that designers obviously never have to actually use the cars they create.

I think this is a good car, like all GM vehicles. I love the XM radio, especially when the regular stations are doing that commecial thing. I love the smooth drive, leather seats. I just tinted the windows, and it makes me love my Chevy even more. I cant wait to get my GMC Yukon "keeping it GM". Drive safe out there!!

I am enjoying my new Chevy Impala! It rides smooth and everything is working properly for it to be a used car. This has always been my dream car and I am very impressed!
Chevrolet is perhaps best-known for three vehicles: the Chevrolet Suburban, the Chevrolet Corvette, and the Chevrolet Impala. The Impala is the third-oldest active model in Chevy’s portfolio, and after 10 generations the Impala still stands out with a unique combination of size, style, and luxury. Here are our favorite 10 reasons to buy a used Chevrolet Impala.
These days, car buyers who want an affordable luxury family sedan can choose from plenty of options. If you’re looking for a used car that emphasizes traditional luxury offerings in a big package, then you might want to consider a used Chrysler 300. But if you want a full-sized sedan with sportier intentions, then a used Chevrolet Impala could be your go-to choice. These two all-American car manufacturers have battled for market supremacy since the 1950s, and nearly seven decades later, they each still give shoppers options for a distinct taste of affordable mid-grade luxury—especially with the new 2016 Chrysler 300 and 2016 Chevrolet Impala.
