I would definitely recommend buying this car if you are looking for something, spacious, luxurious, FAST, stylish, and great on gas! The car rides smooth, and is very responsive when you need to utilize the 302 horsepower hidden under the hood courtesy of the 3.6 liter engine (the same engine is found in RS Camaro's). The inside is very spacious, the leather seats are very plush and comfortable, and the information center keeps you informed on your car's performance. XM radio makes the deal even sweeter, it makes me want to go drive around with the windows down and just go cruising! I have owned an 04 Impala LS, and a 97 Z28, and by far this Impala is my favorite and fastest vehicle I have ever owned. A fast grocery getter, seats 5 easy.
This is a great full size sedan for those looking for value. This year of the Impala it received the 300 HP 3.6 liter engine borrowed from the Cadillac brand. The transmission was also upgraded to a 6 speed. This gives the car plenty of power while still getting 30 mpg highway. It rides very comfortably. It can hold large car seats in the back and retain more room in the front better than a Camry, Accord, or a Sonata.
I have a 2004 Impala with the 3.4 engine. It was a lease return with 11K miles when I bought it. I've owned it for almost a year now and haven't had any problems at all. It averages 26-28 mpg and on a trip gets 30-33 mpg. Lots of room and comfortable on long trips. Has a nice ride and handles well in the cruves too. Can't say anything bad about this car.
