We found our car on the internet. We already knew "program" Impalas were the bargain of the decade in the family car category. These were usually owned by car rental companies for about a year. This is our third one in a row. We feel smart for getting a great price! It looks and smells new. Maroon is a beautiful color. We find metallic colors and white boring. This car is an "LT", which is the medium trim level. We had no idea we would love the sunroof so much! It gives you extra options in keeping the car temperature controlled, especially when parking it. We're old enough to miss wing windows, but this is MUCH better! We didn't realize the impact the leather seats have. They have a richness that is a joy to the senses...they smell wonderful, they have an almost imperceptible sound that pleases, and they feel great. The car drives like a dream, with the same gas mileage the smaller cars get. This is a champagne vehicle at a beer budget!
I have a 2008 impala and it has been good to me. The only problem that I have noticed (along with alot of other people I know who own the same car) is the locks. The locks go out pretty quickly where your remote will not unlock all four doors usually leaving one or two stuck locked no matter how many times you hit the unlock button on your remote. It is irritating to have to manually lock these doors or unlock them for that matter. I do wish the front grill were a little more fierce...its kinda a "pansy" grill. Despite those small issues the car runs great, performs great and was an incredible price compared to other cars that are very similar to it. It is roomy and has the biggest trunk. I would probably buy it again but with some kind of warranty that will repair those pesky locks!
Finished off nice, ride is good, quiet, gas mileage is awesome 30+ Highway and low 20's in town. Handles good, brakes are great. A great value!
