Great car! We got an 06 Maxx with only 20k miles and its perfect because it has everything. When we got home we realized that it actually has automatic start, the back seat slides back and reclines back. We wish it had a sun roof but the windows in the back are a cool touch. Simplistic great design.
I love my car!

I am so happy that I decided to buy my 2006 Chevy Malibu LS V6. My car was used when I got it and it has been great. It rides very smooth and the V6 engine performs great. I had a 2003 Malibu previously and I would definitely call the 2006 an upgrade. It does not have good trade in value but I would recommend it. It's roomy, it's stylish, and it's affordable.
PS: The keyless engine start and its ability to switch to stick shift are great perks as well!

I bought this car new, and initially loved it. Until it had 56,000 miles on it. Then the troubles began. The electric steering system failed, and had to be replaced $1500. The gas gauge broke. I still haven't fixed it. I was told it would cost probably around $500 or more to do this. Now the coolant level light is coming on for the third time. Coolant is going somewhere. I'm told another expensive repair is right around the corner. The car now has 88,000 miles on it. I've noticed that all the other people who left reviews only owned their cars for a short period of time. I would suggest anyone considering a malibu look up some of these issues and see what others are experiencing with the malibu. Most of us are not happy.
I originally planned on keeping this car to at least 150,000 miles, but I can't afford to. I must say, though, they do get good gas mileage, but all the repairs offset the savings.
