Fuel mileage doesn`t live up to the sticker with the 5.3 V-8 engine. 13mpg in town, 16mpg highway is the best I have done. when pulling a small trailer the truck is sluggish and fuel mileage dropped to 9 mpg."

I love my truck and would love to keep it ,except for the gas milage,avg.18 mpg.The back seats fold forwards and the back part comes down for a flat surfface or a bed.Big bed,you can haul anything in it.Just wish they would have thought about an outside vent( a little vent that you pull open and shut).Yes I would recomend this truck, and if wasn;t for the price of gas($2.45 a gallon), I would still be driving this great truck.
2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500Charles Dohs - Pasadena, CA07/30/2015
I love this truck. It's quiet, it drives like a car but hauls like a truck. Fuel economy is good for a truck and payload is amazing. I have the FlexFuel 5.3 liter and hauled a 7000 pound trailer cross country without so much as a hiccup. It's very comfortable on long trips and as a daily driver. I would buy this truck again without hesitation.
