I went to CarMax to help to our grown daughter find a new car and fell in love with my Tahoe! I had owned Chevys for years, including the Suburban and was familiar with the fuel economy. It is roomy, easy to drive, and has a great Sporty Look. As an Adult I have had plenty of experiences with car dealerships and CarMax (and Dee our Rep!) offered the BEST car buying Experience Ever!
This is clearly the absolute best vehicle I've ever owned used and new. I clearly want to thank my salesman at car max for their no frills, nonexistent pressure tactic! I loved the up front honesty about the price that I carefully researched and concluded that the price offered was very close to the research that I discovered on my own. I find this type of honesty is very rare and it's like a breath of fresh air coming from a used car dealership . Highly recommended dealership !!!!
We loved the vehicle at first until we had to keep taking it in for service. The emmisions control filter is located by the rear tires so when you travel on gravel roads or dusty roads the filter gets plugged and you have to take it in to get replaced. A decent vehicle up to 40,000 kms. Then the trouble starts. the battery buggered up and it was a 1 week wait because there was only one in Canada, a special size they say. Then the torque convertor seals were leaking and it was a day and a half fix. Then the rear u-joint seized up. Now 2 weeks later the check engine light is back on and it is in need of a valve body in the tranny. Another 4-5 hr fix. Also the rear lift gate latch quit working and now I can't access the rear of the vehicle. Another trip in!! When travelling there is not ample space behind the rear seat for luggage. Even groceries get tight back there. The fuel mileage is nowheres where they say it should be and is almost never in V4 mode. Also have to take it in every couple of months for ECM updates. At first we loved the vehicle but now can't wait to get out of the lease. Biggest waste of money I ever had!!!
