2004 Chevrolet TahoeTried to Buy American - California09/18/2007
The car looks, feels and handles great. It's all about quality however. Rattles, noises, and now the entire guage cluster is failing; at least an $800 dollar expense. The car is just over 3 years old with 39,000 miles. Extremely well taken care of. I guess Chevy knew something about the quality when they set the standard warrant (3 years, 36k miles)! Oor Toyotas- still as solid as when new (and quite a bit older) with no major repairs needed. It's back to Toyota for us!!
Good Value for the Money

I can honestly say that this is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I am rough on vehicles and have often found that they couldn't handle it. 80K + of highway miles and lots of very bumpy roads already and this truck is still going strong. Only thing I had wrong is the water pump blew on me at around 50K. at 80K just had the 1st brake work done which was to have the rotors turned. The pads are still in excellent shape! My philosophy when buying was that bigger vehciles have bigger parts so they should last longer. It seems that this is certainly the case and it saves me a lot of money and time having to get things fixed all the time. I'm really happy with my Tahoe, but if I had the extra cash I might have went for the Suburban just for the extra cargo space. when kids are sleeping in the 3rd row seat of the Tahoe on long trips it tends to reduce cargo space quite a bit.
I love my Tahoe.

Love driving it. Used to have a Camaro, and this took a little to get used to the size, but I will now keep it, and buy a separate sports car for good weather. Great as an every day driver!
We’re taking a closer look at the most searched cars and trucks on carmax.com in 2017. Shoppers across the country are looking for Jeep Wranglers, Ford F-150s, and Honda Accords. They also want lots of vehicle features to enhance their rides. Shoppers in Atlanta want a Chevy Tahoe and third-row seats. People in Washington, DC, like looking for a Jeep Wrangler and Bluetooth®. In Austin, shoppers are hunting for a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and leather seats. And, in Boise, folks can’t get enough of the Ford F-150 with 4X4 power!
We took a look at our most popular vehicles in the fall and where people are tailgating the most, and choose those we think are perfect for tailgating. Whether you’re an armchair quarterback, a high-school football fanatic, or a pro-football devotee, there’s a vehicle for you.
Vehicles with third-row seating have plenty of features for nearly every type of driver. For families that need a great family-friendly vehicle, SUVs, crossovers, and minivans with third-row seats give passengers roomy interiors and still have enough power to haul plenty of vacation equipment or moving supplies.
There’s something about a car that goes vroom that can’t be beat. When you’re sitting behind the wheel of a powerful car, your heart races and your mind wanders to all the places you can go. There are plenty of used cars out there that deliver high horsepower for low prices.
