The Traverse was a nice upgrade from our mini van. Seat configuration and flexability is a plus. Gas mileage is lower than we would like, but the V6 has plenty of power to spare. Nice comfortable ride and a joy to drive. It is a great sporty kid hauling machine! We are a very active outdoor family and the Tarverse gives us plenty of room to hual kids and our gloden retiever to the mountains for hikes. Try it you will like it.
I previously owned a Honda Pilot and a Honda Odyssey, so I was used to a lot of space and a quality vehicle. I decided to give the Chevy Traverse LT a chance because of its very good review from Consumer Reports. I am very happy with this crossover and am so pleased with this choice. I thought I would have to get an Expedition or Sequoia to get the space we needed, but this truck has lots of cargo space and the second row seats (I have quad seats) are very roomy. The best part is it has a 6 cyl so I don't have to pay at the gas pump for a thirsty 8 cyl. The only issue with the Traverse is a common problem of the steering gear that needs to be replaced in most vehicles. We have all wheel drive for the trips to snow country in the winter. I would definitely recommend the Traverse. It is a solid and good performer with a comfortable interior that has great cargo space.
We rented one of these for 2 weeks when we were on vacation back east. I was impressed that it could fit 6 adults and 2 infants in car seats, with room for cargo. However, after looking at the pricing for the Traverse I am pretty sure I know why nobody buys GM vehicles. What you get for the money is not impressive, the glitz and glamour of the Traverse is nice visually, but overall it is cheaply made and way overpriced.
