Transmission: Automatic Color:Silver Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (4.527777777777778 reviews) My wife and I were shopping for an SUV because she grew tired of minivans. She saw a traverse and fell in love. She likes being up off the pavement higher than the van and likes the third row seat. She also likes how the seats in the rear and middle fold forward flat for hauling large items. Me being mechanically minded had questions about the traverse's 3.6L engine. I found some reports of the timing chain jumping out of time. I researched and talked to 3 or 4 mechanics. Two who work for a Chevrolet dealer. They told me that changing the oil regularly (about 4 to 5k miles on full synthetic which is what the manual calls for) will keep the chain running smooth. Fuel mileage is good at about 22 on the interstate. Ride is comfortable.

Overall Rating

4.5 out of 5 (36 reviews)

My favorite car ever!

I love everything about it. I have captain chairs in the middle which I love to separate fighting kids, I love that that my space behind the third row is larger then an Explorer's or Highlander's, and I love my additional sun roof and radio controls on the steering wheel and additional storage in the councel.

Pros

  • Interior Space: The size is great, I have three kids and I pick up two more from school each day and we have plenty of room!
  • Ride and Handling: Best turning radiace in an SUV I've ever seen
  • Value: No one can believe what I paid for this car!

Cons

  • Fuel Economy: I'm sure the fuel economy isn't bad but going from a small car, it was a bit of a shock at first.

Wonderful car at a great price

Wonderful truck. I love driving it. I really picked a winner here with my Traverse. My family and friends like it also. I can drop the seats and move small items I might need to move. It helps in taking my two pets back and forth to the vet. (Two 80 lbs 3 year old Pitt/Lab mix big old babies).

Pros

  • Interior Space: It looks small on the outside. Plenty of space on the inside. Love the space even with the third row up.
  • Seat Comfort: Comfy seats . Seats 8 comfortably
  • Ride and Handling: Rides so smooth. Love to travel in my truck.

Cons

  • Fuel Economy: Gas guzzler. I have to fill up at least twice a week going back and forth.
  • Cabin Noise: The wind coming from the sunroof. You can hear the whistling sound.
