Transmission: Automatic Color:Blue Interior Color: Tan Average Vehicle Review: (4.429 reviews) We have had our car for 4 months and have had to already put $1,000 into it for repairs. The a/c condenser in the rear air went out a week before vacation. While on vacation the transmission started acting up and shifting hard. Also, the right front strut is going to need to be replaced. We sold my 4runner so that we could buy a newer vehicle with less mileage to avoid having problems that an older vehicle has. This car barely had over 50k and all of these problems already. I would expect it with an older car, but not this new. Disappointed to say the least.

A lot of "Crossover"

We knew we wanted a used Traverse, and we looked at three--one had too many miles (45,000), another had fewer miles (16,000) but was too beat up; finally we found a 2012 in great shape with 32,000 miles, but it was CLEAN! And the gadgetry in the LT is fun. Bluetooth, usb for the iPod, heated seats, keyless start-up, etc. These things took us by surprise and were nice bonuses, but we love the way it runs, and we love the room for the kids. We already took it to the beach and to the mountains with room left over. A great family car for those who aren't into minivans. Gas mileage will be an adjustment--have gotten very low city mpg, like 12 or 13 mpg.

Great Family Vehicle

With four kids, we needed something bigger than a small SUV, but my wife and I dreaded the thought of getting a minivan. Larger crossover SUVs like the Traverse looked perfect. We spent a couple of years looking at what was available, and decided the Traverse met our needs the best. One of my biggest gripes in a crossover versus a minivan is the lack of rear cargo space when all of the seats are up. That said, one benefit of the rear 40-60 bench is that one of the bench seats can be placed up (with two benches this gives us 4 rear seats), while the other two seats can be left down to accommodate more luggage. It handles like a truck, but I love the extra space and sleek styling.
