I bought my van new in 2006. I loved it when I got it. Never in a million years thought I would drive a mini van. Before it went out of warranty had some problems with cranking, but naturally the dealer could never find anything wrong with it. Then as soon as warranty expired check engine light came on and ABS light. Dealer found $900.00 worth wrong. Had it fixed and not 6 months later started again. Lights came on and had them fixed again. Now 2 months later same two light on, and same problem that I have already spent $1800.00 on. I will not get another Uplander.
I do love the fact that it has a DVD System and my children love that feature too. Guess my next vehicle will have to have that too. Also love the built in car seat/booster seat. It is perfect for my 4 year old. ALso has plenty of room and plenty of cup holders for everyones drink.

Love my Uplander! Here are my favorite things:
- carry 7 people plus cargo
- able to remove seats if necessary
- very comfortable
- the VCR is great
- the seat heater is a plus
- it's big, but not too big
- the computer feedback: gas mileage, avg speed, etc.
The gas mileage runs 20-23 mpg - could be better, but not too bad, given the creature comforts.
Spunky little van with ample room and power.

The short length Uplander gives me interior room than most SUVs but has an SUV profile. Engine has lots of power for a small vehicle. My model does not have all the "goodies, ie TV, DVD, roof rack but it has the power package and that's good enough for me. Mileage and ride on the hwy are great. City driving with AC on is average. I keep 3rd row seats folded down and have hauled lots of stuff without having to remove seats.
