I went in to Carmax looking for a Jeep. I had own 3 jeeps in the pass and was not interested in anything else. I told the sale rep what I needed my automobile for and he showed me the PT Cruiser. I was not happy nor interested. However once I got the keys took it for a test drive and did a through inspection of its interior, features and saw how fuel efficient it was, I was sold. I have a terrible back problem and was scared the PT Cruiser would not be good for me based on its close proximity to the ground; I could not have been more wrong. the shock absorbency is simply incrediable. I did not feel the potholes as I drove around LA. My back is perfectly cushioned by the seats. This machine is very easy to drive, its as if its in cruise mode permanently. The turns are excellent. The PT Cruiser is not a automobile that drives on the road;it literally glides on the road. I would say this is a good car for a teenager or college student. I am the parent of a 19 yr old daughter, and I am so comfortable with her in this car, that I am going to give it to her for college. I am loving and enjoying this cruiser.Thank you Chrylser. Hi. I've had my very low mileage PT Cruiser forabout 8 weeks now. It had a minor rough idle, which grew to the point of stalling out. This being week 8 and they've still not resolved it. They have had it nearly 2/3 res of the time since I bought it. I did my own research on the first trip, advised them of my findings. Which they again and again, Ignored. Now thsey finally have listen to me, the educated consumer. The issue is simply a failure in the mechanical research. All my symptoms are listed all over the web. Guess google is too tough to master. In the mean time I expect some compensation!
I got my PT Cruiser about a year ago after waiting for years to get one. I'm glad I waited until the "bugs" got worked out and absolutely thrilled that I finally got mine. I LOVE my car/truck/SUV/crossover. The 4 cyl turbo kicks butt and still gets 20 mpg. It's roomy but not ridiculously huge like a truck or SUV (it actually fits in a single parking stall). I can load a ton of stuff into my baby. It's beautiful, drives great and has everything that I want/need and nothing that I don't. It is my all time, hands down favorite ever.
