Other than a squeaking noise when I turn the steering wheel I've had no problems. Keep in mind that this is a 2008, I shouldn't have problems for awhile. This is my second Dodge, and so far so good. My 1st was a Stratus. My wife wanted to upgrade because the Avenger looked my stylish. Overall if you want a decent 2nd vehicle this would be perfect.
I bought my Dodge Avenger back in April and have not been happy with it overall. It jerks alot when driving even when I had the computer recalibrated, which I was told would fix the problem. No matter how many times I have the alignment fixed it always feels like it pulls to the right. It stalled 4 times on me in the first month of purchase. The drive shaft to switch from park to drive broke and had to be replaced, this also happened on my husbands 2006 dodge magnum. The actual seating is comfortable and it looks nice but I have not felt completely safe while driving it.
I bought my Dodge Avenger about a month ago, and I have already put 3,000 miles on it. I just can not stop driving it around! It handles so well, and it rides so smooth! I've taken curves at 70 that I wouldn't dare try to take in any other car. Very spacious and comfortable, even when there are three other people in the car with me. The trunk is just massive. I couldn't ask for more space in a 4-door sedan. As looks go, I get compliments everyday on it. I tinted the windows as dark as legally possible, and people just LOVE the way my car looks! (As do I.) I also love the features of this car. I'm coming from a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo, and the electronics of this car blow my mind. It dings and tells me to get my oil changed when it needs it done. It dings and tells me if I left my gas door open. It automatically locks the doors, and it dings every 3 seconds if I'm not wearing my seatbelt. While some of these features may be standard for cars this new (and I'm sure they are), this car has a COOLER in the dashboard. That's right. A cooler. I was a bit skeptical at how well it would actually work at first, but my fiance and I just took a trip to Myrtle Beach, and we stuck some Mountain Dew's in the cooler. And about an hour later we got one out, and it was cold! The only thing I would change is to add more power. A V-6 is what this car needs, however, the 4 cylinder's get better gas mileage. I would also make the cup holders have a hot and cold feature. But I think if that's all I have to complain about, I'm doing pretty good. :) Long story short, if you're looking for a 4-door sedan, BUY THIS CAR!!!!!!
