Had Check Engine Light come on, turned out cylinder 6 was defective and had to be replaced. Luckily, Fiat-Chrysler put an extended warranty on it 10yr/150k and got replaced for free. But what about the other 5 cylinders? Google this phrase "Chrysler replacing cylinder heads on select Pentastar V6 powered models"
Water goes into the trunk lid, then into trunk via spoiler.
Heater core got clogged, so, very poor heat in the cabin during winter times. This is not under any warranty, up to $1200 to fix.
Had to have Heater Actuator replaced multiple times.

This car isn't really reliable. I am at 83k miles, and I'm running into all sorts of issues. Broken shifter cable, alternator problems, air conditioner has a musty smell, and now the tranny/engine are having some serious issues. I really don't care about anything in a car except reliability so I would NOT recommend this vehicle.
The Dodge Avenger made a big splash when it jumped into the large pool of mid-sized American sedans more than 20 years ago. Its classic styling, high-tech features, and affordable price made the Avenger an outstanding contender in the front-wheel-drive market. Right until its last model year (2014), sophisticated facelifts and revisions made sure the Avenger has held onto its position as a popular choice from Dodge for daily drivers and performance enthusiasts alike.
