I bought my Dodge Avenger about a month ago, and I have already put 3,000 miles on it. I just can not stop driving it around! It handles so well, and it rides so smooth! I've taken curves at 70 that I wouldn't dare try to take in any other car.
Very spacious and comfortable, even when there are three other people in the car with me. The trunk is just massive. I couldn't ask for more space in a 4-door sedan.
As looks go, I get compliments everyday on it. I tinted the windows as dark as legally possible, and people just LOVE the way my car looks! (As do I.)
I also love the features of this car. I'm coming from a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo, and the electronics of this car blow my mind. It dings and tells me to get my oil changed when it needs it done. It dings and tells me if I left my gas door open. It automatically locks the doors, and it dings every 3 seconds if I'm not wearing my seatbelt. While some of these features may be standard for cars this new (and I'm sure they are), this car has a COOLER in the dashboard. That's right. A cooler. I was a bit skeptical at how well it would actually work at first, but my fiance and I just took a trip to Myrtle Beach, and we stuck some Mountain Dew's in the cooler. And about an hour later we got one out, and it was cold!
The only thing I would change is to add more power. A V-6 is what this car needs, however, the 4 cylinder's get better gas mileage. I would also make the cup holders have a hot and cold feature. But I think if that's all I have to complain about, I'm doing pretty good. :)
Long story short, if you're looking for a 4-door sedan, BUY THIS CAR!!!!!!
I am used to driving a VW Beetle for the past 13 years and had to buy something in a hurry when it suddenly died on me on the highway, so I thought this car would take a lot of getting used to, but it rides so smooth and isn't really as large as I first thought it would feel...I tend to pull too close to curbs, so I love how the front end sits JUST high enough to miss them and not scrape...AC/Heat work great and the defogger is amazing...drives well on ice and snow, too...highway gas mileage has been amazing, I can go 400 miles on 1 tank of gas, which is nice...lots of trunk storage, however if it is raining or has been raining, water runs into the trunk upon opening it...not sure if mine is defective or this is standard
The Dodge Avenger made a big splash when it jumped into the large pool of mid-sized American sedans more than 20 years ago. Its classic styling, high-tech features, and affordable price made the Avenger an outstanding contender in the front-wheel-drive market. Right until its last model year (2014), sophisticated facelifts and revisions made sure the Avenger has held onto its position as a popular choice from Dodge for daily drivers and performance enthusiasts alike.
