This car is amazing. It looks great and it handles well. The steering column does hang down a little low so sometimes I, even at 5ft 4in, hit my knees on it. This car has so many fantastic features such as 12 radio presets, many speeds for the wiper blades, cruise control, temperature display, lighted cup holders, drink cooler, and fold-flat rear seats. Even though this is a larger car than my previous compact, the Caliber still gets great millage. About 28 city and 34 highway.
My Caliber is a smooth running, excellent on gas, and is one sharp looking car. I have never been so pleased with a car in my entire life. The Caliber has many great qualities, and I am sure glad I decided to purchase it.
This was absolutely not the car I had in mind in my search for a new/used car but, if cars could talk, it had me from "hello." I most definitely did not want a 4 cylinder car because I wanted that necessary pep when presented with a situation calling for it ... like another car coming at you & you need to get out of the way pronto. Four cylinders or not, the pep is there when it's needed, yet I'm getting great gas mileage at a time when that is a most important asset. I'm saving those dollars and am allowed to be just a little less angry over today's economy. It's a medium size car (or is it small and I'm just not aware of it?), but has plenty of room. I bought a 24" ladies bike the other day and, despite having two end tables in the hatchback area, the bike fit. I'm an eclectic personality and this is definitely the eclectic vehicle to match. The color is gorgeous, the interior classy, the ride smooth, all the bells and whistles easy to understand, the stereo great, and I love the extra storage and cubbyhole areas ... there's a place for everything, and then some. To tell you the truth, I'd never even heard of a Dodge Caliber until I saw this one gleaming at me from the show lot ... or perhaps it was winking at me. It's a flirt that I fell for and I'm not the least bit sorry. I get many, many compliments on it for looks alone ... and then I proceed to brag.
