As a single woman I wanted a car that would have capacity for storage and look more "mature and stylish" than what I was driving before which was an old Volvo. I love the look of the caliber. I once confused it with a Lexus in a parking lot. I think that is funny but says alot about the sleek styling. In the Caliber the seat feels high so I feel like I'm riding above the windshield when driving, but the car itself is not too large like a mini-van or SUV. I have had to get used to using a very light touch on the petals because it only takes a little gas to rev it up.
When the check engine light went on in my old car, I had no idea that less than a week later I'd be driving home in a near new Dodge Caliber. I was surprised by many of the features when I looked at the car on the lot, and further amazed by the features I continued to discover as I made the 7 hour drive home from my parent's town where I bought the car. The fold out speakers are an awesome feature that allow for good times at the tailgate party, and the beverage cooling center is perfect for those long road trips during the summer. And to top it off, the 115v outlet is a great benefit that allows for cell phone or laptop charging without having to buy an expensive adapter. The sales associate was incredibly helpful and knew his stuff about most of the car's features. Still, it was fun to have those pleasant surprises.
I would really recomend the Dodge Caliber to anyone because of its great gas mileage(I've driven back and forth to va beach from richmond 3 times with that car and each time I only fill up once on gas before i go and when i get home i still have almost 1/4th of a tank left) and its roomy and it is just a great car. I got the 2.0L 4 cylinder engine and it runs great. Never had any problems with it.
