Unfortunately I had to downsize from a Ford F150 recently. I did my research and ended up buying a 2010 Dodge Caliber. I think the car has a nice sporty look to it. I read other reviews and the few bad ones I found I did not agree with. There is a little road noise, but I usually don't hear it over my music. I drove the car from Houston to Oklahoma City right after I bought it and it got about 31 mpg on average. I was impressed! It was a comfortable drive (and ride for my husband and daughter) as well. My husband does say that it could use a little more leg room because it's not quite as comfortable for him to drive (he is about 6ft tall). I didn't expect luxury or a fancy feeling when I made this purchase, however I have been extremely happy with it's performance. This car is practical and perfect for my budget.
I fell in love with this car on site. They are so sleek and really cool looking. After purchase I stupidly looked up the online ratings of my vehicle and instantly started noticing all these little things and I totally thought "thought" myself into thinking I bought a lemon. After the craziness wore off, the only actual things that could have been designed better the windows give a blind spot easily fixed with a.99 stick on mirror. And my husband swears after reading the article the vehicle all of a sudden lost pick up, well I drive it everywhere and have know problem. Honestly I notice he just pushes the heck out of the gas & I only notice it more in the Dodge. Bottom line I LOVE MY DODGE!
I like the style of the Dodge Caliber. From the outside it looks like a small vehicle but, when you get in it has lots of room. I'm still not sure of the CVT transmission I'm having a hard time getting use to it. The car feels a little boggie. I thought also the CVT was also suppose to help save gas?? I used less gas in my VW New Bettle Turbo 6cyclinder auto than I do in the Caliber 4cyclinder Auto??? Have only had one month will need to drive more for real test.
