Used 2008 Dodge Caliber SXT for Sale
Reviews for 2008 Dodge Caliber
on paper this car is a real good deal, economy, performance and comfort, space and drivability are all good, not top of the grade but hey this is an economical buyers car, I'm very happy with the car if not how it came to me, I would recommend the car to others for its space and drivability over all else. Its a bit boxy and more of a masculine car, giving the appearance of a bigger car than it really is. The car holds the road very well on tight curves and will happily cruse along on the highway a little over the limit not to get you into trouble, but plenty of fun to drive. The split seating at the back makes for really good cargo carrying capacity, the rear opening makes easy access for the larger objects, and carrying that heavy load makes no difference to the cruse home. 8 to 9 out of 10 for me as an overall mark for this car.
Nice family car!
We bought the SXT model to replace our 1999 Ford Explorer Sport which required repairs more than the car was worth and was a gas guzzler. We were impressed with mileage this car gives. It is extremely comfortable! I love that the back seats fold flat as well as the front passenger seat if needed. The hatch trunk is a bit small. It has a nice quiet ride and enough leg room for my 6'' husband. I like all the storage features, cell phone/ipod,and extra outlet for you to plug in your dvd player or video games. The sunroof is also a nice perk. Best of all the price! was more than $1k less than what the Dodge dealer was charging for the 2007 model with more miles on it.
This was absolutely not the car I had in mind in my search for a new/used car but, if cars could talk, it had me from "hello." I most definitely did not want a 4 cylinder car because I wanted that necessary pep when presented with a situation calling for it ... like another car coming at you & you need to get out of the way pronto. Four cylinders or not, the pep is there when it's needed, yet I'm getting great gas mileage at a time when that is a most important asset. I'm saving those dollars and am allowed to be just a little less angry over today's economy. It's a medium size car (or is it small and I'm just not aware of it?), but has plenty of room. I bought a 24" ladies bike the other day and, despite having two end tables in the hatchback area, the bike fit. I'm an eclectic personality and this is definitely the eclectic vehicle to match. The color is gorgeous, the interior classy, the ride smooth, all the bells and whistles easy to understand, the stereo great, and I love the extra storage and cubbyhole areas ... there's a place for everything, and then some. To tell you the truth, I'd never even heard of a Dodge Caliber until I saw this one gleaming at me from the show lot ... or perhaps it was winking at me. It's a flirt that I fell for and I'm not the least bit sorry. I get many, many compliments on it for looks alone ... and then I proceed to brag.
