2011 Durango

I purchased a 2011 Durango last month and my family and I love it. We rode a Kia van for six years and as the kids grow older we grew tired of the minivan lifestyle. The Durango is stylist, sleek, and aggressive in appearance. The third row seats come in handy when the kids invite their friends, but when not in use flip them down for some killer cargo space. The V6 powers the vehicle just fine. I went to pass a slower car on the interstate, I looked down and was running over 80 mph. Plenty of "getup and go". Overall a great vehicle and I'm currently working on friend to buy one as well.

Yes, I love my Citadel

I opted for the top-of-the-range Durango Citadel, and, one month later, I'm still learning about all the technology included. To drive this car on the highway, you need only hang on to the wheel and keep breathing, thanks to adaptive cruise control, automatic headlights, rain-sensitive wipers, temperature control, voice recognition for stereo and phone controls and blind-spot monitoring and collision warning systems. The Alpine 500-watt, 9-speaker sound system is astonishing. I've used my Sirius radio much more than I expected to, including the Travel Link system to look up weather and movie times. The eight-way power adjustible seats are heated and airconditioned. I'm 6 foot 5, but it was easy to find my perfect driving position and save it into memory. Even without all the toys that are standard on the Citadel, the Durango is a pleasure to drive. It's big and bulky. But the 360-horsepower V8 delivers plenty of power, and unibody construction means virtually no body roll. A rear view camera and parking assist help you navigate into tight spots. And the side mirror tilt downward when in reverse, so you can see what you're about to run over. My wife says I drive like Grandpa. Maybe that's why I average nearly 20 mpg overall. (My commute is mostly Interstate.) If I have to find some sort of fault, I'll say that the middle row seats seem a bit firm. But I don't have to sit back there. And Dodge has addressed this for 2012 by offering captains chairs for the second row. So that's it. I love my Citadel. Thanks Carmax!
