I HAD A 1999 DODGE DURANGO 4WD WITH THE 5.9 V-8 AND WAS SO PLEASED WITH IT, PURCHASED A 2003 4WD WITH THE 4.7 V-8. I HAVE HAD THE 2003 MODEL FOR A LITTLE OVER THREE YEARS NOW,BOTH VEHICLES HAVE THE THIRD ROW SEAT AND BOTH ARE STILL IN THE FAMILY BEING DRIVEN ON A DAILY BASIS. I HAVE HAD VERY GOOD SERVICE FROM BOTH, JUST SOME MINOR MECHANICAL ISSUES WHICH IS NORMAL FOR ANY VEHICLE ON THE MARKET. GOOD POWER DISPLACEMENT EVEN WITH THE NOT SO GOOD FUEL MILEAGE. IF YOU WANT FUEL MILEAGE STAY AWAY FROM OLDER V-8'S. FOR FUEL MILEAGE, MOVE TO A LIGHTER SUV AND A V-6 MODEL OF SOME SORT. I LOVE HAVING THE POWER WHEN NEEDED EVEN WITH THE POOR FUEL MILEAGE. IF THEY HADN'T CHANGED THE BODY STYLE SO DRASTICALLY, I WOULD PROBABLY BE DRIVING AROUND A NEWER MODEL.

The 2006 Dodge Durango is a very comfortable car and is very roomy and spacious. It rides well, seats 7 comfortably (with the 3rd row seat) and has an Alpine Sound System that is very nice. It does go through quite a bit of gas, but if you do not have a lot of driving to do, this car is great

I have been driving German performance vehicles for many years and decided, with the current instability of the global market, to trade "down" to have a more affordable vehicle. I had several vehicles in mind-the Dodge Durango not being one of them. However, the Durango that I am currently driving caught my eye on the lot. I am sure glad that it did. I have owned my Durango for almost 2 months and can honestly say that it is my favorite vehicle that I have ever owned.
Vehicles with third-row seating have plenty of features for nearly every type of driver. For families that need a great family-friendly vehicle, SUVs, crossovers, and minivans with third-row seats give passengers roomy interiors and still have enough power to haul plenty of vacation equipment or moving supplies.
