2012 Dodge JourneyJohn Richard - Sterling, VA03/24/2017
Overall the 3.6L V6, 283 horsepower AWB SUV is a full package- I've had a few hiccups with it, but the pros far out weight the cons. I had a Dodge Ram 1500 4WD V8 before, and this Journey has every bit the feel of power and solid performance that my truck did.
Not for a family with car seat requirements

We purchased the Journey because we we're having our 4th child. We have 10, 8, and 3 year olds. We knew the "trunk" really had no room for cargo, but went for the family size accommodations. However after having 2 car seats, we quickly realized how inconvenient it was. Getting the boys in the third row was so annoying. Now they enter through the "trunk". When my mother in law visited, we took 2 cars on a trip. Without the third row up don't do any real shopping because you'll have no room. This is a nice and stylish car recommended for a small family. But if you're looking for room AND comfort, the Journey isn't it. Mini Van? Nooooooo!!!
V6 engine is more than adequate mated to 6 speed trans. RT model with full power so far we really like vehicle. Navigation with big touch screen is great. The biggest drawback to this vehicle is no power lift gate, I prefer to use both hands when closing which is difficult with packages in hands. 5 star rating if it had power lift gate, sometimes very inconvenient, we didn't realize how much we miss that feature until we no longer had it. Do not understand why Dodge left this feature off this vehicle, hard to compete in class without it.
