Reviews for 2010 Dodge Journey
Consider a Dodge
I have owned many makes of cars, but I have never owned a Dodge before. I am impressed with the quality and ride of the Journey. I would recommend this vehicle to a friend.
I searched high & low for this make/model & color of vehicle. In fact I drove 1,000 miles to get it and made a vacation of it. I had been looking for a crossover and a replacement to my mini van. I liked the look better - it was more stylish, and sleeker then the van, but that look came at a price. Like Jimmy Choo shoes versus Crocs. The van was roomy, wide cushy seats and had tons of space between the front seats - the Journey isn't as roomy and there is a console inbetween. As a result I am constantly poked in the right side (butt) by the seatbelt. I can adjust it but it slips down. With the console I can't put my purse/bag near me - I never put it on the seat next to me for safety. I also didn't realize that extra safety of a sidedoor air bag means the door is higher (before the window starts) and I cannot reach out the window to get to the ATM or most drive through windows. Something you don't think about until you try it for the first time. Not a deal killer but it is a pain & cold in the sub zero winter. Now if you are a tall thin guy or gal - you will have no problem. Now as far as everything else... it handles well, drives well and on a scale of 1 - 10, I would give it an overall 8. Was it worth the 1,000 one way trip... yep :=)
Could be better!
Looks great and sporty! Room for all comfortable, the only problem is where the drivers seat belt is you hit it with your hip when exiting the car. The hidden compartments in the car are great for putting purses and guns you may keeep in the car while out at a park or resturant. The journey drives great. The cruise control is located in a unusal place and takes time to get familar with.
