We got the Journey as our family vehicle. We didn't need a full on SUV and did not want a mini van. The Journey seemed to be a perfect mix between the two vehicle styles. Plenty of space for our 9mo old in her seat, the dog and cargo. Plus the 3rd row seating is awesome to have when needed. We feel safe and confident driving it. So far we love it.
Not for a family with car seat requirements

We purchased the Journey because we we're having our 4th child. We have 10, 8, and 3 year olds. We knew the "trunk" really had no room for cargo, but went for the family size accommodations. However after having 2 car seats, we quickly realized how inconvenient it was. Getting the boys in the third row was so annoying. Now they enter through the "trunk". When my mother in law visited, we took 2 cars on a trip. Without the third row up don't do any real shopping because you'll have no room. This is a nice and stylish car recommended for a small family. But if you're looking for room AND comfort, the Journey isn't it. Mini Van? Nooooooo!!!
1. Can fit all of my family (4 kids) all in car seats
2. Great gas mileage
3. Nice speed and acceleration
4. Not bulky like a big SUV
5. Can fit into small parking spaces like a car
1. To small for adults to fit in the far back
2. No trunk space, unless seats are folded down.
