I've owned my Nitro RT, from new. I bought it on Oct. 31, 2007. It had a couple hickups with the HVAC system. Okay. virtually every part of it was replaced under warranty. Aside from that, I've put 112,000 miles on it and had only a few small things break. Window regulator. Window button. Key FOB. I was looking at other new SUV's like the Highlander and Murano, and have decided to keep my Nitro. It's worth putting in the $3,000 of 100,000 mile maintenance on. The biggest down side to the Nitro? Suuuuuuper chinsey interior. But I guess that developement money was spent on better mechanics. I'm super happy with my RT!
This is a great family vehicle. Is it an SUV, mini van, or wagon? Dont know and dont really care. What I do know is its comfortable, drives smooth, has great hp (the 6 cylinder), and has enough bells and whistles to make it feel like a luxury vehicle. Remote start, heated seats and steering wheel are wondurful in the winter, not to mention the AWD. So many hidden storage compartments and a fold away 3rd row seat to fit the whole family. Althouh the body is a bit odd, I still feel pretty manly in it given the near 300 hp.
As for the cons, mpg is not very good, and it h few blind spots that will take some getting used to. 3rd row seat will really only work for small children given lack of leg room.

Because its a beast! Its got a ton of power, its fun, its the best looking new muscle car. Gas mileage sucks I get about 300 miles to my 18 gallon tank bah! but the new challengers go into 4 cylinders on the freeway so it makes it better. The back seat doesnt have much room but there is a ton up front.
