I bought this car with 12 miles on it, new. Within the first 3 months I had to have the following replaced: 1. Radio clock slow/faulty 2. Back tire had a piece of metal 3. Clutch plate bad, car wouldn't start on several occasions 4. Passenger window made creaking noise, needed tightened 5. Check engine light on 2x To date, I just took this car in again for the follwing items: 6. Check engine light on (never fixed to begin with, just a reset) but it had a bad oil sensor 7. This car does use a little oil 8. Seat belt on driver side jammed 9. Rearend reflector light fell off 10. Knob shifter replaced again (3rd time it came apart, forgot to mention) This car just sits in my garage now. I'm just waiting to get rid of it.
Pros: -Comfortable for driver & front seat passenger. -Good cargo space with back seats folded down. -Good power with the Turbo. -Stylish and fun to drive. -Handling and braking are on point. Cons: -I don't like the turn signals because they're not sensitive. By that I mean that they don't seem to turn off on their own unless you do a 90 turn. -When I reverse, sometimes the gear box pops into neutral. I'm not yet sure if this is human error or the car's fault. -If you have the air circulating from the outside, it's a bit noisy. -Stereo could be better. -I don't think that there is a good place to comfortably rest my left arm, so on longer road trips, my arm gets tired.
Great car for under $20k. Sporty exhaust can be a bit too loud for some, but we love it! It gurggles and pops when you play, but quiet at constant speed on the interstate. Handles very well with plenty of power. Interior is more roomy than you'd think. With 17" wheels there is minor torque steer in low gears when turbo kicks, but still fun. A few minor rattles, but Beats stereo provides awesome sound system. Shifter would seem to be in a weird position, but it actually works-out fine. With 5-speed, the clutch is feather light and easy. Plus, has a hill-hold feature, so you don't have to mess with the parking brake. Oil changes are a bit pricey, but not that often - so, it's not a real issue. Fun!
