We absolutely love this car. From the fantastic beauty of the outside to the comfort and beauty of the inside. As my husband always says now, "We'er riding high". He loves being able to see out over the cars now.
I bought my Ford Edge used, with 8k miles on it. The price drop from the new variety was just too significant to ignore. Now I find myself wondering if the previous owner was really able to rag out a car in a matter of months. Is it just a really funky transmission by Ford, or is my car "special"? When I start it, I'm reminded of a wind up toy knocking a bit. The vehicle goes, gets me from point A to point B, and has a nice interior. I actually prefer the back seat to the front. I'm pretty short at 5'4" and the driver's seat can be a bit stiffling with my winter coats on. It's not as bad as the 1 minute I sat in the Chevy Equinox before walking away depressed. Hey, the price is equivalent to smaller scale crossovers like Equinox, CRV and Rav4, yet it's a step bigger. So, you can't really complain for what you pay. It's hard to transition from a roomy buick to something with less luxury, but I'm overall pleased with my purchase. I hope to adjust to the trasmission as time goes by. I've had it about 2 months now.
I love my new Ford Edge and specifically chose the 2009 for the features standard in the Limited trim line. I will probably spend the next few years learning all the different features with Sync for my phone, ipod and usb functions. More importantly, my daughter likes papa's new car and she now has room to grow and grow and grow.
