A week after buying the car, we drove to Yellowstone, which was 16 hour one way drive. The Edge handled four of us fully loaded, no problem, I've taken it to Tahoe several time and it has plenty of power to handle the grades up I-80 or hwy 50. It drives so smoothly - no vibrations and very quiet. I also use it as my daily drive and find it easy to maneuver through traffic or parking lots. I compared the Edge to the Acura RDX and the Edge won in so many ways--more power, smoother quieter ride, nicer interior, more options, and for about $8k less. Overall The Edge is a great small SUV.

( Flex, Pathfinder, Highlander and Pilot) In the end, it came down to my preference for how the new edge looks and handles. I drove all of the vehicles I considered many times. It was love at first 'drive' when I got behind the wheel of my new Edge. The only SUV that I would put in this same class when it comes to performance is the BMW X5. I love that vehicle but didn't want the cost of maintaining it over the next few years. No worries with my Edge! The sync system is amazing to program and use. The controls are so easy to understand and operate. The dash looks like a luxury vehicle to me. ( I'm super picky too. lol )
