I shopped for a long time to replace my Chevy Trailblazer. This had power, comfort, good fuel economy and decent cargo space. It feels more solid on the road than just about anything I tried yet still drives like a car, not a truck. I also like the seats and the fact you can adjust them so many ways. The cargo space is pretty big and we use it quite a bit.
Just didn't work out

Under the hood, this is a great vehicle. However, the Ford MyTouch system is not very good. It would freeze & shut down randomly. Syncing the Bluetooth was haphazard at times especially if I came in to the vehicle already on the phone. I knew going into this that some people had trouble with the MyTouch. I read that if you gave it time to start up when you turn on the ignition, this would help. I noticed that if I was in a hurry, the more the system acted up. So I intentionally slowed down to let the MyTouch system set up. When the system still locked randomly up or just shut off while giving it time, I was done. Thank God I could afford to get rid of the Edge. I purchased another Lexus.
I Love My Edge!!

I have owned my Edge for more than 5 years after buying it used in '09 and I must have won the car lottery or something because it has been wonderful. My mechanic and I lost contact (so sad!) because, aside from routine maintenance, there was never any reason for it to get looked at. My aunt backed her sports car into it and the fender of the sports car crumpled like aluminum, my Edge barely had a scratch!
