Reviews for 2014 Ford Escape
Got a great deal on our Escape
The size of the Escape meets our needs since there are only 2 of us but we like to take road trips and hiking trips so there is plenty of room to carry our stuff and be comfortable. I like the electric seats, there are several ways to adjust the driver's seat so it is very comfortable for either of us. The only "complaint" I may have is the Bluetooth and I am not completely sure if it is user error or it isn't working right. The rear of the vehicle is very roomy and the back seats are very comfortable with an armrest/cupholder that pulls down between the 2 seats. They also fold down flat to give us more cargo area. Overall this is a great vehicle and is working well for us.
The Ford escape is comfortable to drive around town or on long trips. I can get about 23-24 mpg city and about 27 mpg highway. My son has a 2005 with over 300,000 miles on it. Aside from regular maintenance, it had the transmission replaced not long ago, still going strong.
Good SUV, Could Be Great
Reliability, decent mileage, lots of technology, nice leather seats (easy to clean), love the seat and mirror position memory (my wife has her settings and I have mine), Bluetooth connectivity is automatic and very clear, rear view camera has very wide angle lens to see everything behind you, Sport mode holds gears longer and shifts more quickly, etc., etc., etc. Only "negative" is that the 1.6L Ecoboost engine is a little under-powered for a vehicle of this weight but it does OK.
