Used 2008 Ford Escape XLS for Sale
Reviews for 2008 Ford Escape
Great Car! Seats 5 people comfortably and has plenty of room in the trunk.
The 4 wheel independant suspension is very smooth but can be noisey. There are some noises that come from the drive train but other than that it has been a nice car. We have the leather trim but the only thing I don't like is the tan interior. We got leather because of our 2 year old son and it does everything we we wanted but when things are spilled it runs off the seats and onto the carpet and depending on color of what was spilled can be difficult to clean. Also if you plan on upgrading your sound/video system be warned that there are 3 different wiring harnesses that could fit and range from $25-$300 and you don't know what one you will need until you actually pull the stereo out.
I traded in a BMW and bought an "everyman" car and was I surprised. I really love this buggy. The creature comforts are beyond my expectations. The car handles well and has enough power for a lead foot to get in and out of traffic and onto highways from the on ramp without fear. The tire pressure monitor is both a great feature and has it's bugs. It would be nice to know which tire is low, in order to check for leaks or nails. But it is useful to know that you have to check to keep from being stranded. I have the Limited edition so it has the V6 and Front Wheel drive. I think it will be fine in the Wisconsin winter, especially since my former car was a rear wheel drive. I am only 2,000 miles into it, but would recommend this model to anyone who wants more car for the money! Ford has really done a great job and with so many older and newer models on the road, must have got the Escape right.
