I bought my car brand new in 2009. Aside from a few minor quirks initially (2 recalls, faulty lift gate latch, tire pressure sensor malfunction), I've had this vehicle for 7 years and have over 185,000 miles on it and can homes toy say I easily think I'll top 200K without any issues. I've kept up with general maintenance and always prompt with oil changes, but I purchased it in my mid 20's; it's definitely seen its fair share of abuse and I've never had complaints. The back seat folds flat which has been a huge advantage over the years, with the option to fold only half the seat if preferred. It easily and comfortably fits my rear-facing toddler car seat with plenty of room to spare.

Adding this car to our household has allowed to have more flexibility with our traveling and packing. We have a child plus a dog so they take up the backseat. The Escape gives us more cargo room in case we need to pack extra bags or guitars. Also, I love the Bluetooth/sync technology.
It's Really a Fun Car!

Fun to drive...good mileage (27mpg, city+hwy)...very nice amenities (I have the SEL model). I'm very surprised at the power for this 1.5 liter engine, no regrets there. The SYNC system is really fun, and the auto park feature amazing, actually, I was afraid to try it at first, but it is quite unique. When the message screen says "put in reverse and take hands off the wheel", it got my attention!
