Pleased with Hybrid
Really like the car and am pleased with the customer service of Carmax. Given the differences between a "normal" car and a hybrid it has taken time to appreciate it. This is not a high torque motor and tends to rev high when accelerating onto the highway. That said I really enjoy playing the hybrid game in town. Getting started in all electric, cruising home on electric only from the store....basically driving is interesting and fun again. The stock General radials are horrible tires though. Seem designed to introduce road noise to the cabin. When they wear out I will absolutely go for the Michelins. Gas mileage is hard to get used to. Higher in town than on the highway.
'08 Ford Escape
My wife and I bought a 2008 Ford Escape with 35,000 miles after previously owning a 2008 Toyota Corolla. My Corolla had no power windows, no power locks, and was base line all around. I have been extremely pleased with the comfort and luxurious features of the Ford Escape. I have plenty of room and the ride is amazing. I find myself finding places to drive just because I enjoy it so much.
Ford Escape from Tinley Park
The perfect car for transitioning from a small sedan to an SUV. I have loved my Escape since I got it and don't have any regrets about the purchase. Very comfortable and lots of cargo room. Sits high, which is a GREAT difference from the sedan. I travel about 2 hours to visit friends a few times a month and the highway mileage (and city) are great as well. My only con would be that it has a long stopping distance but I was able to get used to it quickly. Have not driven it in snow yet, so I'm interested to see how it handles. Overall a great car with excellent value for the money.
