2015 Ford Expedition ELWarren Taylor - Sacramento, CA09/20/2016
I owned a 2001 Expedition that I got up to 180K miles before trading it in on this Expo. The difference in handling and power are astounding. While I loved my 2001, it did wallow a lot on highway on-ramps, and while it had a lot of torque, it sometimes had trouble getting out of its own way. Not so with the 2015 model. The new independent rear suspension makes a huge difference in the handling--there's nearly zero body roll, and very little plow. It's not a sports car by any measure, but for a 3-ton, 20-foot-long truck it certainly can make its way around a twist. The real night and day difference, though, is the engine. The EcoBoost 6 is like a Costco-sized vat of horsepower and torque. It's a pure joy to drive.
I wish I kept my Navigator
2008 Ford Expedition ELD - West Covina, CA07/11/2014
a lot of the fixtures are made of cheap materials. Plastic indoor handles that break easily due to a heavy door. The plastic coverings around the nuts n bolts keep falling off and are always scattered around the vehicle. The liftgate makes a loud squeaking noise sometimes, it's so embarrassing. When I purchased the vehicle from Carmax I didn't realize the the window washing fluid feature did not work. no one has been able to figure it out. The engine seems jumpy and takes a while to kick into a higher gear.
Second Expedition in three years
2009 Ford Expedition ELDominican7 - Woodbridge, VA08/22/2011
This is the second expedition we have purchased. The value and dependability of my expedition was so great that I traded in my 2007 XLT for a 2009 XLT EL. We wanted the extra cargo room. Great for our family of six. We can travel comfortable and all the luggage fits inside. A plus when you got 3 teens and one hungry five year old. I love my "New to me" 2009 Expedition XLT EL!
