We chose the Expedition EL because it was the only large SUV my husband could fit in. He's 6'8" tall. I'm 5'5" and am very comfortable driving it. We have one child now but would like to have more children and know this is a car we will love for a long time. The Limited version has so many super convenient features that we love - reclining 2nd row seats with seat heaters, power folding 3rd row and power lift gate. Awesome car!!

Transmission: Automatic Color:Green Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4 reviews) I owned a 2001 Expedition that I got up to 180K miles before trading it in on this Expo. The difference in handling and power are astounding. While I loved my 2001, it did wallow a lot on highway on-ramps, and while it had a lot of torque, it sometimes had trouble getting out of its own way. Not so with the 2015 model. The new independent rear suspension makes a huge difference in the handling--there's nearly zero body roll, and very little plow. It's not a sports car by any measure, but for a 3-ton, 20-foot-long truck it certainly can make its way around a twist. The real night and day difference, though, is the engine. The EcoBoost 6 is like a Costco-sized vat of horsepower and torque. It's a pure joy to drive.

Transmission: Automatic Color:Black Interior Color: Black Average Vehicle Review: (4.778 reviews) It has a lot of options, the ride is incredible, it has a lot of space as I am a big guy and have three kids and three dogs to haul around and sometimes towing. The gas mileage is great and the turbo is very smooth and responsive. Great safety features for my entire family even for my teens who drive and everything being hands free and can connect to their smart phones. I don't know about cost of maintenance yet but our mechanic checked it out when we purchased it as he does all our used vehicles and was impressed with what Ford has done with this model and year and cost to maintain should be normal. I would like to see one additional thing on this vehicle and that is about a 2 more inches in suspension ground clearance.

Awesome

- Steven Liedes, 2017 Ford Expedition EL

Oustanding SUV.

Excellent looks, outstanding third seat leg room theres room for a full grown adult as apposed to GM SUVs that barely fit a toddler. The third row power folds, the second row lays down as well as the front passenger seat so if you have to haul something extra long there's room. Great gas mileage on trips, last trip was able to average 24 mpg, only fair mileage around town 16-17 mpg. Would like to see Ford give the option of the 6.2L engine, there's plenty of power now but I personally like more for my driving style. The navigation works fine but there are a lot of better after-market units. The blower for the AC could be more powerful and quieter.Seat cooler needs improved. The seat heater works great. Excellent vehicle will buy again.

EXPEDITION EL

Great quality vehicle. Roomy in all aspects. High comfort levels. Handles well, brakes well, accelerates well. Great seating options for fold down. Easy enough to access the back row seating the kids can do it themselves. Ergonomic accessability to all controls. Little bit high on fuel consumption but come on, it's practically a moving house.
