2008 expedition king ranch review

I am happy with the vehicle as it offers a lot more space and comfort than our previous SUV. There is a little more room in the back for groceries even with the back seats up than the competitors. The dvd entertainment system is a must with small children; they love it! I average about 13.5mpg, which isn't good. If you are in the market for a large SUV than gas mileage isn't your biggest concern. The vehicle drives like a truck; that is, it has a large turning radius, is not that easy to park and doesn't react well to any sudden movements in the steering wheel. You should expect all that when you buy a vehicle built on a F-150 base. I've found that the ride is very smooth, so much so, that you are actually going faster than you think. You need to to brake early on this vehicle as it takes longer to stop than previous SUV's I've owned. Overall I would recommend it to friends with kids as it's comfortable, smooth and a great family vehicle.

2008 Ford Expedition Review

I purchased this vehicle with intent of towing a lightweight 27ft travel trailer. Even though I haven't made all the modifications necessary to do that yet, I don't expect to have any issues. The vehicle was so low mileage (until I bought it anyway) that I doubt I will have an issue. I was surprised by the amount of interior room. Now I'm the one who has to drive to lunch all the time (I've had 6 full size adults in the vehicle).

2008 Ford Expedition Limited

I moved into an Expedition from a Ford Edge. Previously I had owned a Chevy Tahoe, so this is more a comparison of the Tahoe vs the Expedition. The Edge is a different class of vehicle. The Expedition feels much heavier than the Tahoe. It is a much smoother ride and feels more stable on the road. The 5.3L V8 has a great deal of power, appropriate for the size and weight of the vehicle. It does about the same on gas as the Tahoe. Driving around Austin I usually get 6-7 days on a tank. At $3.20 a gallon I fill it for around $78. Be prepared to spend about $300-$350 a month in gas. I really like the third row power folding seats. They do fold flat and the second row will lower to be at the same level, so it creates a very large flat cargo area when needed. The tahoe had a third row as well, but those seats had to be removed from the vehicle to get the same amount of cargo space as the Expedition. Those seats were heavy, so the Expedition has the Tahoe beat on convenience and flexibility of the cargo area.
