We've owned this vehicle, purchased new, for 2 years with no problems. Test drove the Sequoia and Durango before deciding on this truck. Not enough leg room in either, smaller cabin. The Eddie Bauer Trim package is very nice. We love the ride, the room, the look, the DVD, the v-8 power and the towing capacity. Really the only downer is the gas mileage, but hey, you can't pull a boat with a Yugo. The best mileage we ever got was about 15.5 mpg on a long road trip. Excellent leg room in 1st & 2nd row, 3rd row is surprisingly comfortable. Lots of cup holders. Plenty of headroom for my 6' 1" husband. Previously owned a '97 Explorer XLT v-6 and liked it fine until the transmission bit the dust @ 85K. We love this truck and hope to keep it for a long time.
Great full size SUV. Not the extended version so it's not too big. Great for going on road trips with the family as there is plenty of room and conveniences inside. Best of all, she rides great for her size. Nice and smooth and comfortable, does not ride like a stiff pickup.
First off, we love Ford and especially Expeditions. We went from an Eddie Bauer to XLT which was a little down to me. We had a 1999 with 108,000 miles on it. Being retired and wanting to travel we felt like we needed a newer model. We felt like this was what we could afford. I miss the extra console, storage etc. I feel like I can't put anything down without it going to floorboard. I thought I would like not having leather seats, but feel these will get dirty easier. I cannot see as well changing lanes, etc but can't really pinpoint the problem exactly. Rides great. Love the height and tires. Liked the chrome bumper better and the gauge telling how many miles until empy. Liked having the blinkers in the side mirrors and the running board lights coming on. Guess that is an Eddie Bauer and you get what you pay for. We haven't had very long so feel like we will get used to it. Prefer bigger cars, SUV's naturally. Should have bought the XLT first, then the Eddie Bauer. Overall we are satisfied with it and will get used to the changes.
