2010 Ford Sport Trac

My partner and I purchased a 2010 Ford Sport Trac XLT, the truck is very versitile, functions like a car (4 doors) but carries like a truck, not to mention it drives extremeley smooth even when pulling our RV, we are very happy with our purchase.

Our 3rd Sport Trac. Awesome Vehicles

This is our third Sport Trac. We owned a base model 2003 version several years ago which we towed behind our motorhome. We sold it when we sold the RV, and found we missed it so much, that we found a 2008 model which we put many carefree miles. Last June we found our 2010 Limited model with less than 30,000 miles. Copper/Brown accents and it looked like it had just rolled out of the showroom. I've had several offers to buy it, but as most Sport Trac owners will testify, these rare trucks are keepers. I hope Ford reintroduces the model soon. No other small truck comes close to the looks and practicability.

Sport Trac's Demise

I loved my 2004 Ford Sport Trac. So much so that I worked hard to locate and purchase a 2010 Sport Trac, once I heard Ford would no longer produce the Sport Trac line. I am so disappointed! Ford changed so much of what was good about the Sport Trac it's no wonder the sales went down leading to the discontinuation of the model. The primary reason I purchased a Sport Trac in the beginning was the great ride. It rode like an SUV but functioned as a small pick up. The 2010 rides like a pick up with uncomfortable seats. The storage space inside the vehicle (console, cubbies behind the back seat) was greatly reduced. When the back seats are folded down for more cargo space, there is a huge gap between the seats and the back wall that allows items to slip under the seats. I could go on but my point is I hate what Ford did to the Sport Trac and wish they could have left well enough alone. I'll ditch my 2010 as soon as possible and take a strong look at the Toyota Tundra. Bummer!
