Excellent choice

I have truly enjoyed my new truck, not only is it very attractive but it handle well and has great overall peformance. I feel that I made an excellent choice in choosing my truck.

High hopes...but fell short.

We bought this truck (new) to haul around our 2 dogs. UTILITY - The back seats fold down flat and there is an air conditioning duct that blows back there. Also the seats are too high for a dog to just jump in...You will have to lift them in (not fun with an 80 pound boxer). -The short bed was never a problem for me...I rigged up a frame out of 2"X10" boards in the shape of an X with notches so they would interlock. This gave enough clearance over the wheel wells and gave a flat surface to put 8' sheets of sheet rock or plywood. Just don't overload it because it will overhang from the tailgate. It was easy enough to secure though using the built in tie downs (3 per side of the bed). PERFORMANCE - The V6 has enough power...not fun or anything...just enough. The stock tires were horrible in the rain. We ended up getting Goodyear triple treads and that stopped the back end from sliding out during rainy days. COMFORT - I'm 5'10" and it was just not comfortable for me to drive. The lumbar seat stopped working, the armrest goes almost the entire length of the door at a low level and my left knee always hit the hard plastic. Also the rear view mirror was in the worst location, if I was turning to the right or coming to an intersection, I had to constantly look around/under it. (my wife who is 5'5" had neither of these complaints.) COMPLAINTS - - The colored coating on the bezel around the radio started coming off in a year or two leaving a cheap white plastic piece underneath the radio. -The cloth seats are impossible to clean...if you have a dog or not let them in this will never get the hair off the seats (the rubber floors were nice though - could scrub them down). -The drivers side passenger door stopped being able to open from the inside (and no it was not the "child safety lock." The handle would simply only pull half way. You had to open it from the outside. We rarely had people in the back it was probably only used less than 50 times before it broke. -The roll down rear back window was great at first. The dogs loved being able to have it all the way down and watch the other vehicles. After 2 years though it stopped rolling down. Over all I would not buy one again. We traded it in on a Subaru Forester XT and have enjoyed it much more. However there is no way you will use this wagon to haul around sheet rock.

It's a smooth riding vehicle. It has the v8 and I'm averaging 21 mpg. The interior is really nice. It has a lot of room and can easily seat 5 adults. It's a very nice truck, and I'm really happy with it.
