It had some 65000 miles on it but came to me as stated "like brand new". Love Ford, love my Explorer, love CarMax. Thank you again CarMax. Richard Miller

2008 Ford Explorer XLT

Drove a 1996 Jeep for 12 years. Love my 2008 Explorer. Smooth, quite, roomy, comfortable, and good looking. V6 is lacking a bit in performance but adequate for most driving situations. Gas mileage is lower than I would like but when you need/want towing capacity and 4WD, you pay for it a bit in lack of fuel economy.

There is a reason why so many people own explorers

Our family has found that the Ford Explorer is a comfortable, dependable vehicle and we could not be happier. The ride is nice, it is very safe and tight feeling. There is plenty of room for all the kids with the third row seating. The value for the price is amazing, it is a decent price SUV that is well worth the money. Our last vehicle was a Ford Explorer and our next vehicle will be a Ford Explorer.

Well-rounded

I've had my '08 Eddie Bauer 2wd for six months now and I like it more each day. Despite being the traditional SUV (narrow, short wheelbase, high center of gravity), this truck really checks all the boxes. My favorite features are the sunroof, SYNC, backup sensors, and the two-tone leather interior. Bumps are easily absorbed and road noise is minimal. It's also comforting to know that behind the spruced up technology and features, you still have that 'ole 4 liter V-6 dating back to genesis that has been perfected. I average 18/20 mpg. What impressed me was the incredible turning radius, torquey 1st gear and ride comfort. I can wheel my bike in the back with ease and the split-glass lift gate is convenient. This truck is a great value for money and is the best vehicle I've owned.
