Right out of the gate, we had emissions problems with "bad" sensors. After three trips to the Ford Service Dept since it was still under power train warranty, they had to splice into the wiring to fix. Drove it for 3 months and the transmition went out. Had to rebuild the transmition and we were only 3 months in on a 25000 mile vehicle.
Has anything and everything you can possibly imagine.

The technology is UNREAL, the wipers go on when it starts raining, the bright lights go off on their own when a car is coming toward me, the air conditioned seats, the heated steering wheel, the volume goes down on the radio when I'm in reverse and something is behind me and the sounds goes off all together when the phone rings, the cup holders light up and so does the floor where my feet are and you can change the color too when you want, I could go on and on. I hope it lasts FOREVER!!

The 2010 Explorer is the last year they made it on a truck body. After 2010 they switched to the new style on a car body. I wanted a truck - not a car - and this fits the bill. Much bigger than my 99 Explorer. Still great features - leather seats, sunroof, bluetooth, etc. Plenty of room without being too big - like the Expedition. I got over 300K on my 99 Explorer - I plan on driving this one to at least 250K. The Explorer platform is proven and time tested. Look how many old Explorers you see on the road.
