This truck is very impressive. The ride is surprisingly smooth and the 5.0L engine has plenty of power to pull through traffic with ease even fully loaded. Braking is just as quick slowing the truck down to a halt without hesitation. The regular cab has more room behind the seats than it appears allowing me to keep a few tool bags back there with room to spare. The long bed gives you as much room as you'll ever need with an extra deep bed. This is by far the best truck for the money period.
Pull's better than my Dodge cummings 3500. Power at all ranges when you need it. 30 mpg @ 55 mph on a trip, and its 4wd. Best truck I ever owned, 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton or 1 ton, this is the best of all. Ford did an awesome job putting this package together. Now it will suck gas under a load of boosting it.
I took a chance on this truck knowing Ford has had reliability issues in the past. My brief experience with this truck, before I returned for a refund only, reinforced this concern. The truck, an EcoBoost 3.5L V6 version, was experiencing significant Engine Timing Cover Oil Leak at only around 40k miles. Online searches turned up many others complaining of the same problem. Also, take this for what it's worth but online searches of the EcoBoost 3.5L V6 F150 turned up a lot of complaints of sudden loss of power on highway under acceleration as well which I found to be pretty alarming. I will admit I was impressed with the acceleration but I never did get close to the advertised MPG stated by Ford even when I was driving conservatively.
