This was a great buy. After 14 years of not buying a car this was a real treat. The car is great to look at, great to drive, good on gas, handles like a dream and get compliments wherever I go. I would definitely recommend this car. Ford had a better idea.
comfortable and stylish

I have had my 500 limited for about a year with only a couple of glitches, the dashboad covering bubbled up and the gas gauge quit working, thankfully both were covered by warranty. I have a problem with brake dust on the rear wheels, but this has not affected braking performance. Overall it is a good car with fuel economy in the 25 mpg range. Plenty of power for normal driving, a little weak if you like power driving, but then again it is a family sedan not a sports car.
Lots of car for the money

I am extremely pleased with the value of the Five Hundred. I think anyone would be surprised by the ammount of room inside this car. The 3.0 V6, is a good mix between fuel economy and power, although the new 3.5 engine on the Taurus is much more powerful. I average 28 MPG on the highway at 75 MPH and about 26 MPG at 80 MPH. In the city I get a consistant 22 MPG. The six speed transmission makes up for the smallish enginge. Smooth shifts. Cheap to insure too. I allready convinced a family member to buy one.
