I was rather cautious about buying a Ford. I had heard nothing but bad things about them my whole life. When I test drove my Focus, I started to change my mind. I called my mechanic and talked to him before purchasing and he informed me that I would love it more than I did my Hyundai, which is saying a LOT. Pros: The car handles quite well. I love the pick up, I love the ease in which it handles. I adore the sunroof and the automatic windows, which I have not had for quite some time. The stereo system and heater work wonderfully & it takes no time at all for the car to heat up. I like the roomy trunk as I am in direct sales and can throw everything in there and not have to "work" to get it back out. The set up and lay out of everything is also good and easy to reach. Tons of cup holders, the ones under the stereo come out for easy cleaning (or to tuck bills under there for emergency money!). The MPG are AWESOME!! Cons: There is a bit too much noise in the car from the outside for my taste. It kinda bothers me that you have to actually DRIVE the vehicle for the inside to start warming up (tho my Hyundai was the same way), but it heats up quick when you start. I don't like the plastic door handles, in past experience, those break easy.
Purchased the car on 10/11/09, and am very satisfied with the way it handles and the gas mileage. I drive 50 miles, one way, to work at least 5 days a week. So this was a big factor when I purchased.
With the Ford Focus ST, Ford took the already good Focus and turned it up to 11. The Focus ST is a great value for anyone looking for a comfortable, reliable, quick, agile and very FUN small car. Most folks have no idea about the Focus ST and simply assume it's just another Focus with a spoiler on the rear deck. Focus ST drivers know better! The high output 2.3 engine, the 16 inch wheels with Pirelli P6's, the sport suspension, the traction control, the close ratio five speed, the 4 wheel disc ABS with EBD, and the well bolstered (and optionally heated) sport seats make the car a blast to drive and a real "sleeper". All this and decent MPG as well. I've owned my 2007 for 2 years now and I love it more everyday.
