Great little car. It replaced my 2006 Fusion, lease was up. I wanted a small car to get me to and from work and save on gas. I drive about 40 miles round trip. I was very surprised to get over 30 mpg city and highway average with the automatic. My V6 Fusion only got about 19 mpg on average. I gave up a lot of amenities with the Fusion SEL but I do not regret it.
Great starter/commuter car.

As the title states, the car is great for a first time owner, or if you just need a daily driver, regardless of distance. In fact, I appreciate this car so much that I am going to purchase my 2nd one this weekend as the first was in a bad accident. Overall averages including short trips to grocery store, I was getting about 38mpg in a manual transmission. The gear box is tough enough, and the parts are cheap. If you buy this car around 60k miles, be prepared to replace the struts, and maybe tires. These went out within 9k miles. To those saying the car's interior lights don't come on when opening a door, this is actually false. The dimmer switch by your headlight switch needs to be maxed out. One con would be power with a fully loaded car.

This car is very nice. It is a Europe style car, very compact, with "no soft" suspension like north american or Japanese cars.
With its 2.0-liter engine and 5 speed manual transmission, this car accelerates and responds much like cars with larger engines either 4 cylinders or 6 cylinder. In addition, is a very economic fuel car.
